It is hard to imagine, that just a few short hours south of Miami, one can be transported to the mysterious, exotic and incredible beauty of Central and South America. I have been lucky to have traveled the backroads of Guatemala and Nicaragua, to fly over their active and angry volcanoes, and to meet the people that live in their shadows.

Lake Atitlan, one of most beautiful lakes of the world, showed me one of the most amazing cloud formations I have every seen. Also, my trips into the heart of Peru on the Amazon has been an eye-opening experience. To have slept in a small Asháninka village, to have explored some of the tributaries of the Amazon and see the vast diversity of birds and mammals will stay with me forever. And finally, to be able to share with you, the sunrise over the ancient abandoned city of Tikal in Guatemala’s Petén is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Come with me to the Land of Fire and Prayer.
