Photographer MARION E. WARREN's work has
been featured in one-man shows regionally and
nationally and has appeared in such publications
as Time, Life, National Geographic, the New York
Times, the Washington Post, and Sports Illustrated.
His fifty-year career was celebrated in a retro-
spective, The Eye of the Beholder, funded by the
Maryland Humanities Council and the National
Endowment for the Humanities. MAME WARREN,
curator of photographs at the Maryland State
Archives, is the author of Then Again: Annapolis,
1900-1965. Father and daughter have co-authored
previous books, including Baltimore: When She
Was What She Used to Be and Maryland Time
Exposures, 1840-1940, both available from Johns
Hopkins.
