Shoshoni Cowboy
Shoshoni Cowboy
“Shoshoni has been passed by” a local told me over a beer at the only bar left in town. I couldn’t argue with the man because it was true. The Last Picture Show, a 1971 American coming-of-age film directed by Peter Bogdanovich could have been made here, except it is too cold for much of the year. When I left the bar a ground blizzard had started up and I took shelter in my car at one end of Main Street. I waited for some time before one of the patrons wandered out of the bar, struggling to zip up his jacket as he walked home. Richard Olsenius
